“Let’s Put Some Meat on The Grill” — Karl
A bass player with roots dating back to 1995, Karl was born in the LA bar scene since. With an early love for the bass lines of Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers) and Les Claypool (Primus), alongside the raw energy of 2-Tone ska. Karl’s playing is deeply rooted in percussive, movement-driven rhythms that define a signature style. Over the years, this foundation expanded with influences from bands like No Doubt, 311, Sublime, and Incubus, infusing his style with a dynamic blend of punk, ska, and rock vibes. Before landing with Bad BBQ, Karl played in several bands throughout the LA scene, including The Winton Charles Blues Band, The Chad Campbell Project, Siggy, and Salty Buckets, earning a reputation for fast-paced, aggressive bass lines that always keep the crowd moving. Today, as the bassist for Bad BBQ, he continues to bring high energy and sharp grooves to every performance, making sure the crowd can’t help but get up and get down.
Lauren has been singing in various capacities since she was in grade school. From church choir to voice lessons to theater, she has sang multiple genres over the years. When she isn’t singing for Bad BBQ she runs her own nonprofit, Dragonfly Dogs and volunteers with FOTAS.
British expat and the okayest guitarist BadBBQ has ever had. When he isn’t noodling & slinging chunky riffs for an audience, Cameron enjoys being off-leash outside, having a drink with friends, being a decent teammate in a golf scramble, absorbing random trivia, camping out in the sticks with Lauren, watching combat sports, cooking spicy food and getting hyper-focused on video games.
Ty has been a self-proclaimed woodwind nerd since elementary school, starting on the flute and eventually picking up the alto sax, along with any other instruments that are needed to nail the group’s sound. An SOU graduate with a focus in music, he’s spent years performing in local ensembles and theater pits for classics like The Wizard of Oz and Mary Poppins. Ty has always enjoyed pop-punk, often finding this genre as the dominating playlist on his iPod back in the 2000’s. Now that he’s playing it in a band it couldn’t be a better feeling.
Clint started playing drums at 9 years old. He attended Musician’s Institute where he had the privilege of instructors Maria Martinez and Ray Luzier (drummer for Korn). Clint is honored to be a Signature Artist for Scorpion Percussion and takes pride in using their drumsticks.

Cami has been somewhere singing most of her life. She started with voice lessons with a theater company, to school chorus, and then classes at School of Rock, where she eventually worked teaching some classes to future lil rockers. Years of gigs with an old band helped her save up enough money to leave her VA hometown and move out west. After some break time just singing karaoke, Cami found Bad BBQ to get back to sharing more energy with another band and new audiences!
